Disney Family Day at Oakland Museum of California : Family Explorations Series of Events

Home

Sunday, July 16 from 1–4 p.m. was a Family Explorations event during the Behind the Magic – 50 Years of Disneyland exhibition at the Oakland Museum of California. Disney Family Day was for families and their Children in Oakland, California. Many families came with their little ones as their favorite Disney characters!

One event included a tea party, where visitors made their own tea cups with Alice and the Queen of Hearts. Other events included Pirates of the Carribean in action, creating treasure maps, face painting, a magic show featuring Dan Chan the Magic Man, and participating in a costume parade. There were also other fun events around the museum grounds. In addition, there were free frozen snacks from Dreyer’s. This event was in collaboration with Children’s Fairyland.

At this event, I didn't see much marketing about Disneyland vs. Walt Disney World, so I think this event was more a Disney themed event about the charcters based on the ehind the Magic - 50 Years of Disneyland exhibit.
